PSFM General Membership Meeting Minutes - April 23, 2007

A general meeting of the members of PSFM was called to order by the President, Ronald B. "Ron" Jack, at the Campus of the University of North Florida, during the Special Problems Conference, Jacksonville, Florida on April 23, 2007, at 3:00 PM. The following members of the Board of Directors were present:

PRESIDENT: Ronald B. "Ron" Jack
V/PRESIDENT: Chuck Veppert
TREASURER: Toby L. Wagner
SECRETARY: James A. "Jim" Moore
SGT @ ARMS: Dennis Payne

MEMBERS/GUESTS: Fourteen members and no guests were present.

MINUTES OF THE MEETING

Reading of the minutes of the BOD meetings held, April 10-16, 2006, July 12-18, 2006 and April 22, 2007, along with the minutes of the General Membership Meeting April 24, 2006 were read.

Motion by Mic Capman, second by Ron Jack, to accept the minutes as read. "Motion Passed."

Treasurers' Report was read by Toby Wagner.

Motion by Dennis Payne, second by Michelle Schramm, to accept the Treasurer's Report. "Motion Passed."

The following items were discussed:

· The members were advised of the changes to our PSFM.org web site and its purpose to promote forensic mapping in general. Again, a request for papers, articles and photographs was requested.

· Chuck Veppert, with the approval of the BOD, started up a Forensic Mapping Yahoo Group similar to INCR and CDR Tool. The group is available to only PSFM members and Chuck, the Moderator, will be sending out invitations to members as soon as email addresses can be identified.

· Dennis Payne gave a brief overview of the PSFM Forensic Mapping Recertification Program and invited all members in attendance to participate in the FMS review and recertification test.

· Jim Moore opened discussion regarding the expansion of the PSFM Forensic Mapping Recertification Program due to several requests made by members from other areas of the country not being able to attend the General Membership meeting held in April, in conjunction with IPTM-Special Problems. The expansion of the program would allow the BOD to partially and reasonably reimburse Recertification Instructors who attend other conferences/seminars and put on the PSFM Recertification Program. The members present were agreeable to this program and reimbursement policy.

· Mr. Kelly Young, President of the Maine Computer Group, provided PSFM with a copy of one of his programs (AR Pro/Recall/TSB), as a meeting door prize. Sgt. Steve Breland with the S.C. Highway Patrol was the lucky winner.

Immediately following the General Membership Meeting, Dennis Payne put on a general FMS review class. After the class review, a recertification test was administered and all members taking the test passed.

The minutes of this meeting were duly recorded by Jim Moore on April 23, 2007, and published, via email, to the Board of Directors on June 18, 2007.
