A
general meeting of the members of PSFM was called to
order by the Vice President, Ronald B. "Ron",
at the Campus of the University of North Florida, during
the Special Problems Conference, Jacksonville, Florida
on April 24, 2006, at 2:30PM. The following members
of the Board of Directors were present, not constituting
a quorum:
V/PRESIDENT:
Ronald B. "Ron" Jack
SECRETARY: James A. "Jim" Moore
MEMBERS/GUESTS:
Six members and two visitors were present.
MINUTES
OF THE MEETING
The
minutes of the 2005 General Meeting and April 10, 2006
meeting of the BOD were read.
Motion
by Mike Fouty, second by Ron Jack, accepting the minutes
as read. "Motion Passed."
No
treasurers' report was available.
The
following items were discussed:
·
The BOD on April 10, 2006, agreed that the sitting President
should represent PSFM at the TAARS F3T2 Conference and
be reimbursed for the one to two days of additional
hotel cost and reasonable cost for meals for those days
only.
·
Again, using the PSFM web site to promote 'tips and
training' via the web site and create a separate page
where members can sell/swap/buy FMS equipment. Additionally,
a request for papers was made.
·
PSFM previously had a re-certification program that
the members would like to be established again.
Dennis
Payne and Jim Moore will co-chair a committee to reinstate
the re-certification program beginning at the next 2007
general meeting. This will be published through various
outlets.
·
Again, listing PSFM members, including contact information,
on the web site for members---the members present suggested
putting out a mailer to all members regarding this matter.
·
Members thought it would be a good idea for PSFM to
host its own seminar at some future time and date.
·
The following nominations for the upcoming elections
were made:
PRESIDENT:
Ronald B. "Ron" Jack
V/PRESIDENT: Chuck Veppert
SECRETARY: James A. "Jim" Moore
TREASURER: Toby Wagner
SERGEANT AT ARMS: Dennis Payne
Since
there is no opposition to any position, a letter of
acclimation will be mailed to the membership.
Two
door-prizes were announced and the members present wanted
the visitors to be potential winners too, so they were
included in the following drawings:
·
Mr. Kelly Young, President of the Maine Computer Group,
provided PSFM with a copy of one of his programs (AR
Pro/Recall/TSB), as a door prize---and the winner was
(Visitor) Charlie M. Russell.
·
Ron Jack and Jim Moore provided a copy of Frank Navin's
new book which was won by Gregory Vandenberg.
The
minutes of this meeting were duly recorded by Jim Moore
on April 24, 2005, and published, via email, to the
Board of Directors on May 2, 2005
